Rob Baker

Rob Baker has extensive knowledge and experience in Open Cut Mining, Civil construction and drill and blast in Western Australia. With a career that commenced in the Goldfields in 1990 as a Driller and Shotfirer, Rob has since moved through production to Site Management and has most recently been the General Manager of a successful Mining and Civil Contractor, responsible for projects for clients such as Barrick Gold, Paddington Gold, BHP. and Atlantic.

Previous to this, Rob spent more than14 years with Leighton Contractors, which gave him the opportunity to work on and manage many projects of varying sizes such as Yandi, Yarrie, and Metropolitan construction projects such as the Narrows Bridge and The Metro Rail Project.

The variation in size and type of project has given Rob a thorough knowledge of project planning and the general management and administration required to successfully deliver what the client requires.

Rob prides himself on his ability to work with people from all backgrounds and thrives on the challenge of leading and working with a team to meet production targets and deadlines.

Robert Smith BCR, B.Comm, CA(SA)

Robert is a highly experienced Accountant and Financial Manager with a wide range of skills in the development and implementation of financial systems and reporting mechanisms across a range of industries.

He has applied his extensive accounting skills to budget preparation and monitoring, cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting and modelling. He is also competent in the implementation and application of a range of IT financial reporting systems and has strong experience managing and supervising financial accounting teams.

This experience has been gained in a variety of industries, including mining, IT, FMCG and manufacturing.
